Four-Year Assistant Professorship in Topological Aspect of Quantum Matter
The Niels Bohr International Academy at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen invites applications for a position of Assistant Professor in Topological Aspect of Quantum Matter.
We seek a condensed matter physicist with extensive experience in the intersection between high energy physics and condensed matter physics theory, and special emphasis on the topological aspects of quantum field theory/quantum matter. In particular, the candidate should have a proven track record on research on phenomena related to generalized global symmetries and anomalies in quantum field theory and their applications to condensed matter systems.
The candidate should hold a PhD in physics and at least 3 years of postdoctoral experience. The candidate should also have demonstrated a capability to mentor students and lead independent research.
Duration for this position: 4 years.
The position is open from 1 September 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter.
