Being a chef/cook at Pico Pizza you are a part of the daily managing of the kitchen operations and business optimization. This includes ensuring all tasks are carried out in an orderly manner.
You will manage opening and closing procedures of the kitchen, operations during service, inventory and waste management, cleaning and sanitation protocols, as well as managing team members and day-to-day tweaking of the schedule. This includes handling staff members calling in sick and ensuring a full team suitable for the day.
You will furthermore work with a defined set of KPI's and generally look to optimize the kitchen from a business perspective.
Responsibilities:
- Managing, ensuring and optimizing kitchen operations
- Managing kitchen team
- Handling Food Self Regulation procedures
- Cleaning and sanitation
- Defined KPI's
- Managing waste, inventory and ordering of supplies
- Handling daily issues with equipment and supplies
- Attend meetings and participate in discussions related to operations, staff, KPI's etc.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a cook, pizzaiolo or similar role
- Strong communication skills
- High level of organizational skills
- A business mindset
- Knowledge of kitchen management, inventory management, and food safety procedures.
- Ability to perform under pressure in an orderly manner
- Availability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
